Our domain name, southbeaton.com was named after a
street in Corsicana,
Texas, a city of 20,000 plus located 60 miles southeast of Dallas,
Texas. Beaton street was named for Alexander Beaton a prominent
attorney and land trader who lived in Corsicana from 1850 until he
died in 1899. Mr. Beaton was born in Inverness, Scotland on February
19, 1820.
902 South Beaton street was our father's home from the early 1930's through the middle
of 1941. Our grandparents continued to live there until late 1952. Unique domain names are hard to come by these days and it seemed only
fitting to use the opportunity to register an uncommon one and at the
same time recognize memories and times past. |
