Fannie Smithen - 1930s
This is a portrait of Fannie Smithen in the 1930s. We called her Aunt Fannie but she was really Mom’s aunt. She never married and waited tables all her life. I remember her most for working in George’s Grill for some 40+ years. Corsicana, Texas - 1930s.

Don't ask. Based on the cars and motorcycles, it looks like the late 1930s. The sign on the left ends with “able” so you could assume the building is the local Constable’s office. The tag on the first monocycle says “Police”. Not sure about the uniform Aunt Mae is wearing. Most likely this picture was taken in Corsicana, Texas.
